Visual art practice

Non for profit arts organisation involvement

As a visual artist, Eggleton develops artworks in relation to site, engaging with the given context and architectural space. She often uses archive material and cultural references as conceptual armature. Combining the practices of sculptural, spatial and Butoh/ Bodyweather movement disciplines, her response inhabits the site as a form of enquiry and activation of body, material and space.

Her non site-specific works seek to shift and reconfigure established relationships to materials, patterns and geometrical structures.

Eggleton has staged a number of large sculptural textile installations including, Pop-up Temple (untiled dome) at Nati Frinj festival, Natimuk, Victoria 2017, a wallpaper state of harmony at C3 Contemporary Art Space, Abbotsford in 2011 and within pattern, at Stockroom Kyneton, Victoria in 2012, and Off the Rails Gallery, Dunkeld, Victoria 2009.

She has devised visual art projects for Nati Frinj Festival, in Natimuk, Victoria and Lost in Sculpture in Dunkeld, Victoria. In 2014 - 16 she collaborated with visual artist Anthony Pelchen in an outdoor visual art and performance project at Melaka Arts and Performance Festival (MAPF) in Malaysia.
